On being anti needy and developing self trust
Are you needy?
Do you need someone to behave a certain way to ensure you are okay?
Do you have expectations of a conversation going a certain way… and when it doesn’t, you find yourself upset about it?
The true master doesn’t wait for someone else to change so that he/she can be okay. No, the Jedi develops his/her anti-neediness… so that no matter how someone else acts in his/her presence, he/she is okay with it.
And if they do get triggered by something someone else says or does, instead of getting upset, that Jedi master looks at it as an opportunity, a gift, showing him/her where they are still ‘hookable’, triggerable, or in other words, not free.
🤔 🤔Where in your life are you not anti-needy? Where do you have expectations, covert contracts, and unsaid rules around the way someone else needs to speak, feel, or act?
🔦🔦 Shine a light on these areas. Find where they hook you. Release yourself from your need to be upset, reactionary, angry, or feel justified or resentful. That all belongs to YOU, not to the person who you perceive caused your trigger.
