Who or what is dictating the speed of your life?
If you’re moving fast through your life, there is only a certain amount of detail you can see.
And for most of us, when we’re moving that fast, it feels borderline out of control.
I was talking to a client today… for her, that means focusing outwardly on all her responsibilities in her life (family, kids, work, relationship, health, home) and making sure they are all taken care of.
She goes on, barreling along through her life at breakneck speed, white-knuckling the steering wheel, hoping she can keep all the plates balanced, seeing as much as she can see, while also praying none of the plates drop.
But she’s already dropped perhaps the BIGGEST one without even noticing it.
Herself.
Slowing down doesn’t have to be big and scary. You can start with short, 60 second “time outs” to just breathe several times a day. And while that is only just the start, at least putting in some speed bumps to help slow down that runaway car called your life.
