Letting Go of Judgment, Seeing the Loving Essence

By Andy Petranek

This is a big one for me… letting go of the judgment and seeing the loving essence.

Judgment has created such big ruts in my memory — emotional, mental, and spiritual ruts. And the ruts are deepest when it comes to those who I’m closest to — parents, aunt, sister, wife.

The rut of judgment is like a well-worn pair of jeans… comfy, easy, known, and easy to just put on out of habit.

But when faced with the question, “What would love do?”, it creates energetic dissonance. I KNOW that staying in the rut of judgment won’t get me what I ultimately want… and yet, oftentimes, the draw to stay in the rut is too strong.

As I build my acceptance and loving “chops,” I find “seeing the loving essence” to help — seeing that person as a one-year-old baby, who is beautiful and perfect just as they are.

🤷 Who in your life tends to drag you into your “judgment rut”?

💪 What do you do to pull out of that rut, and move into your loving?
